Frontend Architecture
Relevant source files
The following files were used as context for generating this wiki page:The frontend for the "OptiFlow AI" project is a modern, single-page application (SPA) built with React and Vite. Its primary purpose is to serve as a visually rich and interactive landing page for a SaaS product. The architecture emphasizes a component-based structure, extensive use of animations to enhance user experience, and a clear separation of concerns between UI, state, and static data.
The application is composed of multiple functional components that are assembled into a single, scrollable page. Styling is managed through Tailwind CSS with a custom theme, and interactivity is powered by React hooks and the Framer Motion library for complex animations.
Technology Stack
The project leverages a modern JavaScript toolchain for development and bundling. The core technologies are defined in package.json.
This diagram shows the main libraries and how they relate within the project's frontend stack.

Project Structure and Entry Point
The application's source code resides in the src/ directory. The entry point is src/main.jsx, which uses ReactDOM.createRoot to render the main App component into the DOM element with the ID root in index.html.
The App component, defined in src/App.jsx, serves as the root of the component tree. It lays out the entire single-page application by importing and arranging various section components in a specific order.
Application Component Hierarchy
The following diagram illustrates the high-level component structure as defined in App.jsx.
This shows how App.jsx assembles the page from modular components.

Styling and Theming
The project uses Tailwind CSS for styling, configured in tailwind.config.js. Global styles, font imports, and custom CSS variables for theming are defined in src/index.css.
Theming with CSS Variables
A consistent theme is established using CSS variables, referred to as the "Enterprise Color System". This allows for centralized control over the application's color palette.
| Variable | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
--bg-primary | #050505 | Primary background color |
--bg-secondary | #0A0A0A | Secondary background color |
--text-primary | #FFFFFF | Primary text color |
--text-secondary | #A1A1AA | Secondary text color |
--accent-primary | #3B82F6 | Main accent color |
--border-subtle | rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.08) | Subtle border color |
These variables are then consumed in tailwind.config.js to extend Tailwind's default theme, making them available as utility classes (e.g., bg-bg-primary, text-text-secondary).
// tailwind.config.js:8-17
extend: {
colors: {
'bg-primary': 'var(--bg-primary)',
'bg-secondary': 'var(--bg-secondary)',
'bg-tertiary': 'var(--bg-tertiary)',
'text-primary': 'var(--text-primary)',
'text-secondary': 'var(--text-secondary)',
'text-tertiary': 'var(--text-tertiary)',
'accent-primary': 'var(--accent-primary)',
'accent-secondary': 'var(--accent-secondary)',
},
// ...
},

Component Architecture
Components are designed to be modular and, in many cases, data-driven. They use React hooks (useState, useEffect) for state management and framer-motion for animations.
Data-Driven Components
Many components like Process, Features, and Solutions follow a pattern where a local array of objects defines the content. The component then maps over this array to render UI elements. This separates the data from the presentation logic.
For example, the Process.jsx component uses a steps array:
// src/components/Process.jsx:4-31
const steps = [
{
number: "01",
title: "Data Ingestion",
desc: "Seamlessly connect your ERP, WMS, and fleet data sources...",
icon: Database,
gradient: "from-blue-500 to-cyan-500",
color: "bg-blue-500"
},
// ... more steps
];
The component then renders this data:
// src/components/Process.jsx:61-63
<div className="grid grid-cols-1 md:grid-cols-2 gap-6 md:gap-8">
{steps.map((step, index) => {
// ... renders a card for each step
})}
</div>
This pattern makes it easy to update content without changing the component's JSX structure.

Interactive and State-Managed Components
Components like Hero.jsx and CostCalculator.jsx demonstrate more complex state management.
Hero.jsx: Timed State Updates
The Hero component features a "Live Pipeline" UI that automatically cycles through different steps. This is achieved using a useEffect hook with setInterval to update the activeStep state every 3 seconds.
This diagram shows the flow of the automatic step animation in the Hero component.

CostCalculator.jsx: Complex State and Calculations
The CostCalculator is a highly interactive component that performs calculations based on user input from sliders and text fields. It uses multiple useState hooks to manage inputs like shipments, avgValue, and delayRate. A useEffect hook is used to create a smooth counter animation for the final calculated cost, enhancing the user experience. All calculation logic is contained within the component.

Animation System
Animations are a core part of the user experience and are implemented almost exclusively with the Framer Motion library.
Key animation techniques used:
- Scroll-Triggered Animations: The
whileInViewprop is used extensively to fade in and slide up elements as they enter the viewport. This is often combined with aviewport={{ once: true }}setting to ensure the animation only runs once.- Source:

- Enter/Exit Animations: The
<AnimatePresence>component is used to animate components when they are added to or removed from the React tree. This is visible in the mobile navigation menu inNavbar.jsx.- Source:

- Layout Animations: The
layoutIdprop is used to create seamless transitions between elements that share the same ID, such as the active tab indicator inSolutions.jsx.- Source:

- Scroll-Linked Animations: The
useScrollanduseTransformhooks are used inProductNarrative.jsxto create complex animations where the visual state is directly linked to the user's scroll progress within a container.- Source:

Conclusion
The frontend architecture of the OptiFlow AI project is robust, modern, and well-suited for a visually-driven marketing website. By using React with Vite, it ensures a fast development experience and an optimized final build. The strict component-based structure, combined with the declarative nature of Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion, results in a codebase that is both maintainable and capable of delivering a highly polished and engaging user experience. The separation of data from presentation logic in many components is a key strength, allowing for easy content updates.
