Relevant source files
The following files were used as context for generating this wiki page:The TAF-SAF project is a web application built using the Next.js framework, bootstrapped with create-next-app. The "Home" page, defined in src/app/page.tsx, serves as the primary entry point and user-facing interface when the application is launched. It provides initial guidance for developers and links to external resources for deployment and documentation.
The project utilizes a modern web development stack including React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. The structure follows the Next.js App Router conventions, with src/app/layout.tsx defining the root layout and src/app/page.tsx rendering the main content for the / route.
Project Setup and Dependencies
The project's foundation is defined in package.json, which lists the core dependencies, development dependencies, and scripts for running, building, and linting the application.

Key Dependencies
| Dependency | Version | Description |
|---|---|---|
next | 15.3.2 | The React framework for production. |
react | ^19.0.0 | A JavaScript library for building user interfaces. |
react-dom | ^19.0.0 | Serves as the entry point to the DOM and server renderers for React. |
typescript | ^5 | A typed superset of JavaScript that compiles to plain JavaScript. |
tailwindcss | ^4 | A utility-first CSS framework. |

Scripts
The following scripts are available to manage the development lifecycle:
| Script | Command | Description |
|---|---|---|
dev | next dev --turbopack | Runs the development server with Turbopack for faster performance. |
build | next build | Creates an optimized production build of the application. |
start | next start | Starts the production server after a build. |
lint | next lint | Runs the Next.js linter to check for code quality issues. |

Application Structure
The application uses the Next.js App Router paradigm. The root layout wraps all pages, and the home page component contains the specific content for the main route.
Root Layout
The root layout is defined in src/app/layout.tsx. It sets up the basic HTML document structure, including the <html> and <body> tags. It is responsible for loading global styles and fonts.
Key features of the RootLayout:
- Metadata: Sets the default page title and description.
- Font Loading: Uses
next/fontto load and optimize the "Geist" and "Geist_Mono" fonts, which are then applied to the body via CSS variables. - Global Styles: Imports
globals.cssto apply base styles across the entire application. - Children Prop: Renders the page components passed to it via the
childrenprop.
// src/app/layout.tsx:21-33
export default function RootLayout({
children,
}: Readonly<{
children: React.ReactNode;
}>) {
return (
<html lang="en">
<body
className={`${geistSans.variable} ${geistMono.variable} antialiased`}
>
{children}
</body>
</html>
);
}

Global Styling
Global styles and CSS variables are defined in src/app/globals.css. It uses the @import "tailwindcss" directive to include Tailwind's base, components, and utility styles. It also defines CSS variables for background and foreground colors, supporting both light and dark color schemes via the prefers-color-scheme media query.
/* src/app/globals.css:3-15 */
:root {
--background: #ffffff;
--foreground: #171717;
}
@theme inline {
--color-background: var(--background);
--color-foreground: var(--foreground);
--font-sans: var(--font-geist-sans);
--font-mono: var(--font-geist-mono);
}

Home Page Component
The Home component in src/app/page.tsx is the main content displayed at the root URL. It is a server component that renders a static welcome page.
Component Structure
The component's layout is built using Tailwind CSS utility classes, primarily a CSS grid (grid grid-rows-[20px_1fr_20px]) to structure the content into a header-like space, a main content area, and a footer.
This diagram shows the rendering flow from the root layout to the home page.

TypeScript Configuration
The tsconfig.json file configures the TypeScript compiler. Key settings include:
